Learn About Spanish Interrogative Pronouns
Learn About Spanish Interrogative Pronouns Quà © and culà are two words that can be confusing to people learning Spanish, because they can be translated as the same word into English, namely, what.à It is sometimes said thatà quà ©Ã is closer to what in meaning, andà culà is closer to which. But that rule isnt always true. When to Use Accent Marks The two words, when they haveà accents, are used as interrogativeà pronounsà in questions to mean what or which.à Quà ©Ã is the same in the singular and plural forms; the plural ofà culà isà cules. Accentedà forms of these words appear only in exclamations and in questions, which includes anà indirectà question. The accentedà quà ©Ã is found most often at the beginning of a sentence, althoughà it sometimes follows deà and other prepositions, especially in indirect questions.à For example,à à ¿De quà © color es laà camisa?à meaning, What color is the shirt?à Without accents, normally queà andà cual are not being used as a question. Most often, they are connecting words or, technically speaking, relative pronouns, translated to mean which or that. They can stand for either feminine or masculine objects as well as ideas or concepts. An example of this usage is a popular phrase,à Creo que sà , meaning, I think that is so. Use Cases of Quà © and Cul When Asking Questions There are a number of ways to ask questions using the wordsà quà ©Ã andà cul.à A speaker can ask for a definition, like What is this?, which uses quà ©.à Or, you can ask for a choice selection from a group, What looks better, this red blouse or this black one?, which usesà cul. Quà ©Used for Definitions A number of examples may help explain usage of quà © asking for a definition:à à ¿Quà © es una ciudad?,à meaning, What is a city? Or,à à ¿Quà © hace un presidente?, meaning,à What does a president do? Or,à à ¿Quà © significa talanquera?, asking, What does talanquera mean? Quà ©Used Before Nouns Quà © is usually the interrogative pronoun that is used right before nouns. For example,à à ¿Quà © casa prefieres?,à meaning, Which house do you prefer? Or, à ¿Quà © libro leà ste?,à asking, Which book did you read? CulUsed Before Forms of Ser Culà is used beforeà esà and other forms of the verbà ser, meaning to be, when not seeking a definition. For example,à à ¿Cul es tu nà ºmero de telà ©fono?,à meaning, What is your phone number? Or,à à ¿Cul es tu problema?,à meaning, What is your problem? Or, à ¿Cules son las ciudades ms grandes?,à asking, What are the biggest cities? Cul Used toMake a Choice Culà is used to suggest or ask for a selection or choice from a group. For example,à à ¿Cul miras?,à meaning,à Which one are you looking at? But, à ¿Quà © miras?,à would be used to ask when you want to know, What are you looking at? An example of the plural form of the interrogative pronoun used in making a choice would be,à à ¿Cules quieres?, meaning,à Which ones do you want? But, à ¿Quà © quieres?,à would be the proper way to ask, What do you want? Quà © as an Idiom Anà idiomà is anà expression, word or phrase that has a figurative meaning traditionally understood by native speakers. For example,à à ¡Quà © lstima! meaning, What a shame! Or,à à ¡Quà © susto!à meaning, What a fright!à Some of the most common idiomatic expressions that are used daily in native Spanish speechà are à ¿Y quà ©? or à ¿Y a mà quà ©?,à both meaning, So what? Or,à à ¿Para quà ©? or à ¿Por quà ©?,à meaning,à Why?

How to Become More Fun If You Think Youre a Boring Person
How to Become More Fun If You Think Youre a Boring Person In this post weââ¬â¢re going to go through a 5 step process that can quickly turn even the most boring person into a real lively individual. No kidding. We start by tackling your self-identity and then move on to your mortality and chasing fears with a big fat smile on your face. Sound fun? Yeah, thatââ¬â¢s part of it. Letââ¬â¢s begin! 1. Step Outside Your Old Personal Narrative This is one of those quotes we all need to write down somewhere and look at regularly until we memorize it. If you want, just read it aloud ten times in a row and chances are youââ¬â¢ll never forget it (the beauty of propaganda): ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m not what I think I am. Iââ¬â¢m not what they think I am. Iââ¬â¢m what I think that they think I am.â⬠Get it? Keep reading it until you do and once that light bulb goes on above your head your life will instantly change. Youââ¬â¢ll then realize you can beâ⬠¦anyone you chooseâ⬠¦anytime you choose. Your old personal narrative is the elevator pitch you tell yourself when opportunity comes knocking that keeps you cocooned in a comfort bubble. You are not your past. You are not your future. You are right now. Thatââ¬â¢s it. Thatââ¬â¢s all you ever get at once. And, you can begin creating a new self-story as soon as you decide youââ¬â¢re good and ready. If itââ¬â¢s ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m an incredibly fun person to be aroundâ⬠and you believeâ⬠¦it shall be so. 2. Add Some Spontaneity Itââ¬â¢s pretty funny when you think about it, trying to be spontaneous. Hereââ¬â¢s the deal, every single day of your life (when youââ¬â¢re not cave dwelling in your room) youââ¬â¢re confronted with tons of choices. Some more spontaneous than others. Those are typically the ones your old personal narrative tries to keep you away from (because they change who you are). Decide to be more spontaneous from this point forward. Decide that youââ¬â¢re going to become an amateur yes-man/woman and start chasing down those spontaneous leads that life keeps giving you. Sometimes just one is all you need to begin down a completely new path. 3. Remind Yourself of Your Mortality Often This always helps. Remember, youââ¬â¢re going to die someday. Really drink that in. Not just in a passing scared kind of way but a completely open and honest acceptance. Your life is going to end. You will one day cease to be and nothing you do or donââ¬â¢t do can change that fact. Period. Well, unless you opt to become a robot or something. But anyways, the next time you feel like a boring person living a boring life, remind yourself that you have a few figurative moments left to take advantage of. 4. Make Your Goals More Fun Maybe your goals are boring? Maybe your vision of the future and what youââ¬â¢re working towards are drab, generic and uninteresting. Not to say they arenââ¬â¢t awesome and great and all that, but perhaps they could use some freshening up around the rough edges? Itââ¬â¢s hard to be a fun person when you lead a boring day to day routine. Start adding in the fun to your goals: relationships, business, education, etc. 5. Chase Your Fears Smile Even though this is step 5, these are probably two of the easiest things to understand and do. First, you chase your fears. What are you afraid of? I mean honestly. Are you afraid of success and popularity? Are you afraid of being liked by people? Are you afraid of being well-known or exposed? Once you write out this bucket list of fears, begin to chase them down (within reason, no burying yourself alive or anything). You get the idea. If youââ¬â¢re afraid of heights, go sky diving. Now, the second part is subtle. SMILE! Because we have no idea how we are perceived by others (see step 1), and because we have no idea what we look like while we live our lives, we really donââ¬â¢t take too much notice of the look on our face throughout the day. I tell you this, if you smiled 30% more for the next week you would notice an improvement immediately. Never, ever, EVER, underestimate the power of smiling. Weââ¬â¢re drawn to it. Our minds love it. We want to smile more, whether we know it or not. Chase those fears of yours with a smile on your face, sporting fun goals, a new personal elevator pitch and a new sense of spontaneity. Cool? Weââ¬â¢d like to hear back from you on this. What do you think?

Small business management (find attachment) Assignment
Small business management (find attachment) - Assignment Example For reason that it needs to monitor the customersââ¬â¢ marketing response to prove that indeed Mobile Plus Group Ltd., is a viable business endeavor. This feedback on how the market responds shall be used to evaluate the efficacy of the marketing effort and business structure that will cater to customer needs. Through feedback control, it will be able to identify which part of the business went according to plan or fell short of expectation and be able to apply remedial measures when required. II. Relevance of Selected Method of Control. Employing an effective control mechanism in Mobile Plus Group Ltd. will assure us that the performance of the business will go as planned. Through it, we will be able to measure actual performance and will also be able to apply corrective measures to ensure that the ââ¬Å"businessââ¬â¢s objectives and plans are being carried outâ⬠(Dixon, 2003). In determining the method of control to be employed, it is important to determine the objectiv e of a business at a given time. And to elect appropriate modality of control given the circumstances which in this case is the Feedback Control as the business is still in its introductory phase that needs to urgently capture enough market share to prove itself as a viable business entity. A. ... This will be aided by an effective Management Information System that will provide us with concrete data to analyze. Control will also be performed by soliciting written feedback from the customers through feedback form available in our outlet. C. How Control will be Effective The efficacy of monitoring actual sales versus target sales will give us an indication of the efficacy of our marketing drive and to validate our hypothesis about the market. If market performance fell short of expectation, we will be able to apply remedial measure to steer actual performance in the direction of planned performance. By soliciting the feedback of our customers, we will be able to determine which part of the business is doing well or fell short of expectation. As it is the vision of the company to leverage itself from the competition through customer service that is second to none, we will be able to determine if indeed our frontlinerââ¬â¢s performance is in line with this vision and make nece ssary correction or retraining if actual performance fell short when compared to expectation. III. Risk Involved While there is a huge potential for our celphones having an 80 % market for them, we are not however without competition. This competition poses a risk to the business as customers have other alternatives to purchase their need for a handheld mobile device. There is also a direct competition with our products, meaning there are also other businesses selling the same product such as ours and priced competitively and could even be lower. Also, there is also a risk that the market may not respond to our marketing drive of providing them a celphone with two working SIM cards with a TV and game functionality. While this added functionality may provide them with convenience and

CI Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 3750 words
CI - Essay Example Another impact of this study of effects of merger events is the impact it has on the competitiveness of the post merger firm in terms of profitability and efficiency. The competitiveness is a critical aspect to be considered by investors and managers before deciding on whether a merger is an appropriate financial decision to make. The way stock markets react to events around a merger and specifically the announcement of a merger can be used to reasonably predict the future financial and operational performance of firm in a financial market so long as it is efficient. This research looked at the stock performance of some of the listed stocks before a merger announcement and after the announcement. The daily stock prices were noted and analyzed statistically to highlight the changes in return and correlated with the stated event and other similar competing firmsââ¬â¢ stock prices. It was generally noted that the announcement of a merger generally resulted in certain changes in the p rices of stock. Review of literature points out that there is a negative correlation between the stock returns and hence the value of the firm after an announcement of a merger. This could be explained using hypothesis put forward by behavioral finance scholars. This particular empirical study further reinforces the studies in which the post merger firm values as indicated by the stock prices using the cumulative average abnormal returns CAARs reduce with the announcement of a merger, just a few days of the announcement and well after the announcement has reached the public. Introduction Economists and financial analysts are sometimes faced with the challenge of figuring out the magnitude of the effect an economic event has on the underlying value of firms. This implies that they have to measure the impact based on a particular cause or event. To achieve this the event study methods have developed that assist in the construction of effective models that easily predict the value of a firm based on an event. This is basically an event study that employs residual analysis to evaluate and analyze how a market behaves to an announcement of a merger. A company merger would mean that a company would inherently have more capital size, increased in operations and more diversification. This however does not always result in improved profitability as it could be hindered by excessive costs of acquisition and regulation obstacles. In previous studies it has been noted that an event such as the announcement of a merger had a positive market reaction. This can be investigated using abnormal stock returns noted during such events. As earlier stated the announcement of a merger and or acquisition shall be regarded as the event for the purposes of this study. This research paper has the following objectives: (a) to investigate whether news or any other publicly available information can influence the price patterns of the acquirer and (b) to examine the impact a merger announc ement has on the stock prices of the acquired. The research shall be carried out by comparing the stock prices and daily returns before the merger announcement and immediately after the merger announcement using the daily closing stock prices. This particular paper is organized into four sections. The first section shall review the literature on previous research on event studies related to mergers

Representation of Interests Matrix and Paper Essay Example for Free
Representation of Interests Matrix and Paper Essay Within Public Policy there are different interests that are affected once the issue has been brought forward to the government by citizens who are sending e-mails, or telephone calls advising of the issues that are affecting society, what the citizens do not know is that with every issue within public policy that has to be passed by the government and attempted to get resolved has a significant affect or groups and organizations. The identified groups and organizations represent my interests in a significant manner because due to my profession I am aware that crime has been a problem for society for quite a long time, I am aware that there has been multiple attempts to reduce crime, such as the hiring of more police officers, programs that protect victims and witnesses of a crime. Therefore I believe crime is a significant interest. As for education experiencing affects by public policy, I think this is by far the most important. I have a child and am extremely aware of the problems that have affected our education systems significantly due to the lack of financial support from the government and also the increase in college education, books, etc. I am aware of the government attempting to clear the tax deficit and financial problem that our country is currently facing, but education is not the way to do it. As for the other remaining identified groups such as Foreign policy, Health care, and Social Welfare, they also represent my interests in a significant manner. For example Health care, has affected me significant due to our president passed the new reform my employer checks have significantly dropped from what I used to gross monthly, due to the fact that we are taking a hit because we are assisting those with no medical health care and those who are receiving assistance from the government, such as parolees and prior drug addicts, or convicts. The groups represent my interest by all means, ultimately besides us taxpayers who are affected based off the government trying to accommodate all the citizens who continue to write emails requesting assistance for the interests that are affected by public policy. As for any instanc es in which my interests compete with one another, Yes they are significant. For example, Health care and Social Welfare go hand in hand for me. The reason that these two interests go hand in hand for me is because once gain based on my work and what I have been exposed to during the military and also being familiar with the cost of healthcare, I take it as an offense to provide for those who personally do not deserve Healthcare. I strongly believe that if your not physically incapable of working, or able to care for yourself, or gravely disabled I will be the first one to help these citizens. As for Social Welfare, I also believe that the government is to lenient on how they assist the needed. Some of the interest that I chose are significant to me and my family and loved ones, but I think that the most interest affected by public policy that is in conflict with those of the general public will have to be healthcare. I remember i was working the day when our president passed the new Healthcare reform, and how citizens were running outside the streets celebrating that they will now have medical assistance. At first I did not think anything of it until the following morning during Roll Call when we were advised by our lieutenant that it will affect us significantly especially financially. As the months went by I started to notice my checks to get smaller and smaller. I am aware that the general publics thinking is different than mine, but do not get me wrong I will be the first one to help someone I have been doing it for 13 years of my life, but when citizens take advantage that is when I have a problem. In conclusion I have provided my own personal opinions of how my identified groups represent my own personal interests, I also provided examples on what means do my groups use to represent my interests. I also debated on instances in that my interests compete with one another. Finally I was precise and straight forward on my interests and how some of them conflict with those of the general public. Indiana Jones movie reports :: essays research papers
Cast & Credits Indiana Jones: Harrison Ford Henry Jones: Sean Connery Marcus Brody: Denholm Elliott Elsa Schneider: Alison Doody Young Indy: River Phoenix Sallah: John Rhys-Davies Paramount Presents A Film Directed By Steven Spielberg. Executive Producers George Lucas And Frank Marshall. Written By Jeffrey Boam. Edited By Michael Kahn. Photographed By Douglas Slocombe. Music By John Williams. Running Time: 125 Minutes. Classified PG-13. Printer-friendly à » E-mail this to a friend à » There is a certain style of illustration that appeared in the boys' adventure magazines of the 1940s - in those innocent publications that have been replaced by magazines on punk lifestyles and movie monsters. The illustrations were always about the same. They showed a small group of swarthy men hovering over a treasure trove with greedy grins on their bearded faces, while in the foreground, two teenage boys peered out from behind a rock in wonder and astonishment. The point of view was always over the boys' shoulders; the reader was invited to share this forbidden glimpse of the secret world of men. "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" begins with just such a scene; director Steven Spielberg must have been paging through his old issues of Boys' Life and Thrilling Wonder Tales, down in the basement. As I watched it, I felt a real delight, because recent Hollywood escapist movies have become too jaded and cynical, and they have lost the feeling that you can stumble over astounding adventures just by going on a hike with your Scout troop. Spielberg lights the scene in the strong, basic colors of old pulp magazines. When the swarthy men bend over their discovery, it seems to glow with a light of its own, which bathes their faces in a golden glow. This is the kind of moment that can actually justify a line like It's mine! All mine! - although Spielberg does not go so far. One of the two kids behind the boulder is, of course, the young Indiana Jones. But he is discovered by explorers plundering an ancient treasure, and escapes just in the nick of time. The sequence ends as an adult claps a battered fedora down on Indiana's head, and then we flash forward to the era of World War II. The opening sequence of this third Indiana Jones movie is the only one that seems truly original - or perhaps I should say, it recycles images from 1940s pulps and serials that Spielberg has not borrowed before.

High School and William R. Dy Essay
Born in a beautiful place in Isabela on July 25, 1994, it was my beginning of my journey through life. I was the oldest son of Engineer William R. Dy and Eleanor I. Dy. William, a hardworking man, raised his four children in a much disciplined way. It was from here that Iââ¬â¢ve learned much of his punctuality. When I was small, like every child I had a dream, well more like many dreams. Like every little boy I either fantasized about becoming something like a king or a super hero. As I grew up, I began to realize that life isnââ¬â¢t a fantasy and that I have to answer my true calling and eventually led to discovering my real passion. Like any kid going to school, they have to learn, but to me it was something that made me explore all the techniques how to study and the way others use so many methods of studying. As I prepared myself going to school my first school was in Saint Ferdinand College walking distance in our house. I study there for how many years from kindergarten until I graduated Elementary. My kindergarten experience was so sad because in kindergarten, I was separated from our parents for the first time and I am so nervous at that time, first thing that comes in my mind was, there are a few things that I should be introduced to. First, I should know the name of the kindergarten teacher, the principalââ¬â¢s name, and if possible, where my kindergarten room is. I became overwhelmed at first because of the new situation and the new people. And also I may not immediately like school, but with encouragement, I adapt and hopefully begin to enjoy their very first year of school. Making friends in that very first year in the kindergarten is a very important issue associated with transition to school. Then the time will come I was in Elementary, it seems everything gets bigger. The classrooms, the garden even the green space where students play ââ¬â are all noticeably larger. The children themselves have grown and acquired a greater need to interact in groups, so their furniture and materials have been appropriately designed and sized as well. Mr. Maximo was my favourite teacher made learning fun. I also remember his reading voice and he always accepting my ââ¬Å"creativenessâ⬠. I can remember other elementary teachers scolding me for my ideas. But still I enjoyed my elementary experience but sad to say I will leave my elementary life and start my high school life I will miss my other classmate who will transfer to other school especially if you only spend with them for only a year. But we will never know maybe there will be more excitement, more challenge, and meet new friends. When I began high school in Isabela National High School, I became more afraid because I knew I was entering in to a new world that will shape me to become the person I want to be as an adult. I knew that I was going to have many challenges in school, but I felt that being in my class, I never felt like I would fail. My class helped me and challenged me to decide what I truly felt was my calling. As I progressed in school, I became more in tuned with my writing and other stuffs that made me feel even more positive and gave me even the more confidence to continue. When the graduation day came, I was so sad because I will miss those happy days, emotional days and especially those bonding days with my friends and teachers. For me high school life was the best, Iââ¬â¢ve learned many crazy things in life. Unfortunately, my ââ¬Å"maturityâ⬠did not arrive when expected. I never fully realized in the earlier grades how important high school success is. To go from being coddled and having everything sugar coated, to the treachery of ââ¬Å"real lifeâ⬠certainly affected me, and my entire outlook on life. But still it was the best experience in my life. And now here I am taking up Nursing as my profession, College is a lot different than high school. You may decide to commute from your home to a local campus. It was like kindergarten I was separated to my parents for the second time. But these are supposed to be some of the best years I have so I will make it that way instead of allowing the stresses of college ruin my experience. The trials and tribulations, success and failures, are all part of what will make me as a responsible, mature, & educated young adults. The experiences I gain from these years will stick with my life and make them worth remembering. And by the way my name is Wilson Elibert I. Dy. Signing off.

Guide To Air Compressors Engineering Essay
Air compressors are among the most widely used equipment in the industry. They find public-service corporation in electronic, automotive, building and fabrication industries among others. However, the broad scope of available compressor types and monetary values make their purchase an highly hard determination. To avoid blowing your clip and money on the incorrect air compressor and salvage yourself of future compressor problems, see the followers before purchasing your air compressor.Buying Considerations:Types of Air Compressors: Three chief types of air compressors are normally used in industries. Rotary Screw Air Compressors: They use duplicate prison guards to compact air and shop it in hard-hitting armored combat vehicles. Rotary compressors cost more than reciprocating compressors. They can run full-time, have a responsibility rhythm of 100 per centum and are most-suited to applications necessitating uninterrupted usage. Rotary compressors can supply 1500 CFM of air flow in a individual phase and over 2500 CFM in two or more phases. Reciprocating or Piston-driven Air Compressors: They use Pistons to compact air and shop it in high force per unit area armored combat vehicles. Reciprocating compressors are the most economical. They are designed for portion clip usage and extremely suited for intermittent applications including portable applications and place workshops. Small air compressors produce 5 HP or less while larger compressors reach 1000s of HP. Reciprocating compressors reach up to 50 CFM with a individual phase and up to 100 CFM with two or more phases. One HP normally produces 4-5 CFM of air flow. Centrifugal Air Compressors: They are turbine engines, used in power workss and high-end industrial applications, and compress air through revolving blades. They are the costliest of all air compressor types. Centrifugal compressors operate at 400-8000 HP and bring forth airflows higher than 1000 CFM.Add-On Utilities and Oil-Free Compressors:Dry, cool and clean air allows you to better the length of service of your fabrication equipment. Desiccants: They remove wet from compressed air for water-sensitive equipment. Coolers: They lower compressed air temperature. Filters: They remove drosss such as oil and dust from compressed air. Oil-free compressors: They provide oil-free or oil-less air for oil sensitive equipment such as nutrient applications and semiconducting materials and utilize compaction Chamberss sealed off from the oil-lubricated machine parts. They are much more expensive than regular rotary and reciprocating compressors. Compressor Space: Air compressors generate a batch of heat and noise. If possible, apportion a separate compressor room to incorporate the noise and blowhole the heat. Alternatively, if you do non hold adequate infinite, an enclosure can be used to cut down heat and noise from the compressor. Reciprocating compressors are louder than rotary compressors. Power Requirements: Compressors can be powered by electricity or with a gasolene or Diesel engine. Energy demands vary from 100V to 500V and supra, depending on compressor size. Mobility: Pay careful attending to grips, wheels and compressor weight when looking for a nomadic compressor. Engine-driven compressors normally come with their ain nomadic dawdlers. When short on floor infinite, opt for vertically oriented compressors to salvage infinite. Pressure and air flow: Carefully find the air force per unit area and air flow demands for every piece of your equipment and happen a compressor that can run all your equipment. Air force per unit area and flow information is normally available within equipment certification. If you can & amp ; acirc ; Ãâ â⠢t happen this information in the certification, reach the maker for an educated conjecture. Add up the air flow values and multiply the amount by 1.5. Choose the highest air force per unit area and increase it somewhat. Make certain your chosen compressor & A ; acirc ; Ãâ â⠢s air flow and force per unit area evaluations match these values. Future Expansion: Reciprocating air compressors have an mean life of 10-15 old ages while rotary compressors have a lifetime of 20-30 old ages. See the air flow and force per unit area demands of equipment you wish to purchase in the close hereafter before choosing the air compressor type and size. Make certain your selected air compressor can run into both your nowadays and future demands for maximal benefit. Air Compressor Pricing: Air compressors are available in a broad scope of monetary values from $ 500 for a less than 1 HP power compressor to over $ 50000 for 200HP or more compressors. 5 HP reciprocating compressors cost $ 1500-2000 and 5 HP rotary compressors cost $ 2500-4000. At 10-25 HP, compressor monetary values range from $ 4000- $ 10000 or more. 50 HP compressors cost between $ 12,000 and $ 15,000 and 100 HP compressor monetary values range from $ 20,000- $ 30,000. Oil-free compressors costs are about triple the monetary value of regular air compressors. Individual compressor parts and fix services are besides available. If upfront payment is a job, you can inquire your trader for funding, leases or monthly leases. New compressors come with at least a 1-2 twelvemonth guarantee and service contract. Used compressors are besides available in the market. Two-stage theoretical accounts, that recompress compressed air for higher compaction, are available in both rotary and recipro cating compressors and are costlier than one-stage air compressors. Energy costs: These costs make up over 70-90 per centum of the entire ownership costs of an air compressor, over a 5-10 twelvemonth period. So make sure you select efficient air compressors over inefficient low cost 1s for long tally fiscal benefits. Before buying an air compressor, inquire your trader for its Compressed Air and Gas Institute ( CAGI ) data sheet to measure its energy efficiency readings. Manufacturer and Dealer Considerations: Choose a maker committed to bring forthing air compressors as mainstream equipment. Talk to several air compressor traders and acquire information on multiple trade names, before choosing a trader. Ask about trader repute and length of service in the concern, figure of staff members available for compressor service and service rates. Get mentions from traders and inquire them about trader public presentation. You can besides inquire your industry contacts about their air compressor traders to help you in trader choice. Traders with favourable market reputes and 15-20 twelvemonth experience are good versed with compressor jobs, and can offer better and faster support and service. Make sure you pick an efficient air compressor with sufficient air flow and air force per unit area from a reputed and experienced trader to acquire maximal benefits from your air compressor. Air compressors are your long-run friends, so take your clip and avoid any hastiness in doing your purchase determination.

Proper Disposal of Batteries
Proper Disposal of Batteries Todayââ¬â¢s common household batteries - those ubiquitous AAs, AAAs, Cs, Ds, and 9-volts from Duracell, Energizer, and others - are not thought to pose as great a threat to properly equipped modern landfills as they used to because they contain much less mercury than their predecessors. As a result, most municipalities now recommend simply throwing such batteries away with your trash. Common household batteries are also called alkaline batteries; the chemical type is important in choosing proper disposal options. Battery Disposal or Recycling? Nevertheless, environmentally concerned consumers might feel better recycling such batteries anyway, as they still do contain trace amounts of mercury and other potentially toxic stuff. Some municipalities will accept these batteries (as well as older, more toxic ones) at household hazardous waste facilities, from which they will most likely be sent elsewhere to be processed and recycled as components in new batteries, or incinerated in a dedicated hazardous waste processing facility. How to Recycle Batteries Other options abound, such as the mail-order service, Battery Solutions, which will recycle your spent batteries at a low cost, calculated by the pound. Meanwhile, the national chain, Batteries Plus, is happy to take back disposable batteries for recycling at any of its 255 retail stores coast-to-coast. Older Batteries Should Always Be Recycled Consumers should note that any old batteries they may find buried in their closets that were made before 1997- when Congress mandated a widespread mercury phase-out in batteries of all types- should most surely be recycled and not discarded with the trash, as they may contain as much as 10 times the mercury of newer versions. Check with your municipality; they may have a program for this type of waste, such as a yearly hazardous waste drop off day. Lithium batteries, these small, round ones used for hearing aids, watches, and car key fobs, are toxic and should not be thrown in the trash. Treat them like you would any other household hazardous waste. Car batteries are recyclable, and in fact are quite valuable. Auto part stores will gladly take them back, and so will many residential waste transfer stations. The Problem of Rechargeable Batteries Perhaps of greater concern nowadays is whatââ¬â¢s happening to spent rechargeable batteries from cell phones, laptops, and other portable electronic equipment. Such items contain potentially toxic heavy metals sealed up inside, and if thrown out with the regular garbage can jeopardize the environmental integrity of both landfills and incinerator emissions. Luckily, the battery industry sponsors the operations of the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation (RBRC), which facilitates the collection of used rechargeable batteries in an industry-wide ââ¬Å"take backâ⬠program for recycling. Your big-box hardware store chain (like Home Depot and Lowes) likely has a booth where you can drop off rechargeable batteries for recycling. Additional Battery Recycling Options Consumers can help by limiting their electronics purchases to items that carry the RBRC logo on their packaging. Furthermore, they can find out where to drop off old rechargeable batteries (and even old cell phones) by checking RBRCââ¬â¢s website. Also, many electronics stores will take back rechargeable batteries and deliver them to RBRC free-of-charge,à check with your favorite retailer. RBRC then processes the batteries via a thermal recovery technology that reclaims metals such as nickel, iron, cadmium, lead, and cobalt, repurposing them for use in new batteries.

Book Review of American Grace Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
Book Review of American Grace - Essay Example American grace is an optimistic book that explains how Americans manage their religious diversity. This is the main cause of inequality and social conflicts experienced within America. The authors say that American religion has adopted most of the social justice-oriented change rather than promoting the positive expected changes. Therefore, the book affirms that social contacts and familiarity in America increases religious tolerance instead of theological doctrine. The authors emphasize religious history of Americans even though they draw attention on the last half of the century throughout the entire book (Putnam & Campbell 3) Who are the authors? Robert D. Putnam and David E. Campbell wrote the book American Grace. Putnam is a political scientist and professor of public policy at Harvard University, where he lectures both the ââ¬Å"Graduate and Undergraduate Coursesâ⬠. He is a member of the National Academy of Science, a previous president of Political Science Association and a fellow of British Academy. David Campbell is a political science professor at the university of Notre Dame. He is also the founding director of Rooney Center for the study of American Democracy. What are the authorââ¬â¢s findings about American religion? The authors discovered interesting things about the American religion. They discovered that that religious experience and religiosity are alive in the United States. This is regardless of the fact that millennial generation present barriers to the management and the spread of religious aspects in the state. According to empirical studies, American religion is unique compared to other western nations. The authors believe that the Americanââ¬â¢s rates of religious belonging, behaving and believing are high (Putnam & Campbell 36). In addition, the authors assert that Americans have a very complicated religious experience, which is seen in their historical tradition, races, gender, personal relations, and generational. Therefore, the authors conclude that the high level of pluralism that exists in America pervades them. The authors also insist that the potential of American pluralism developing into strife is unlikely to happen because of friendship among the believers where the impor tance of religious diversity is seen. After their research, the authors determined that most of the Americans are intimately acquainted with people from other faith. This is true because their research indicated that every American has an average of at least two friends from a differing faith. Putnam and Campbell also discovered that most American Protestants highly value the Buddhists compared to the Muslims. However, the black Protestants value Muslims compared to the Buddhists. This is because most of the black Protestants are acquainted with black Muslims (Putnam & Campbell 76) The authors discovered that the American religious diversity is not as tolerant e as many people tend to think. This is because; most of the American believers are willing to bend their basic doctrines in the name of interfaith amity. For example, most Christians and evangelical Christians believe that it is possible for the non-Christians to go to heaven. This means that they do not believe in the New Te stament chapters, which insists that without Christ, no one will see the kingdom of God. In the book, the authors also discovered that almost half of the white American population diverted from their parentââ¬â¢s religion by turning to other religious tradition or lapsing into religious indifference (Putnam & Campbell 176). A significant proportion of the married people in America married a person who came from different religious tradition. The authors realized the Americanââ¬â¢s perception of heaven depends on personal experience with their friends or families who come from differing religious background. The authors real
